I ran up the mountain after the boys. When I finally reached the top my pulse was nimble. "Got any matches?" Ralph looked at me. I shook my head no.
"His specs!" Before I knew it Jack and three other boys surrounded me. The whole mountain blurred into a big green blob. Jack laughed scornfully as Ralph held my specs up to the wood. It caught fire right away and everyone jumped back. I felt my specs put back in my hand. I reassuringly wiped them on my shirt. I glanced at all the warped wood, crackling from the blazing orange flames. The fire was irresistable, but that didn't mean Ralph should be acting this officous way. When he yelled fire everyone followed him and chanted like immature kids. My arms tightly wrapped around the conch. The boys added more wood to the flames and when the fire sparked the tumult got louder than ever.
When we got back down to the beach I noticed that the little boy with the scar was gone. This fire was a bad idea.

Blog 1-Lost
My eyes popped open as I felt something crawl up my leg. I look around to find that I am stuck in a jumble of leaves and vines. Surrounded by green trees and bushes. I clamber out of this mess; only to realize that I have no idea where I am. No idea where to go. Then I remember. I was on a plane. With other boys. "They must be here too!" I accidentally shout out loud. I feel my cheeks flush with embarrassment, even though no one was around. I stumble through the forest looking for nothing in particular but with nothing else to do, I might as well move forward. A gust of wind passed through the forest, making me quiver.
I remember a time when my dad was talking about making a fire, "It's simple, really, just rub together a few rocks, until you get some sparks. By then you're on the right track, you just have to keep rubbing," is what he said. I've never in my life listened to my father, but now seemed like an okay time. I grabbed to stones off the ground and started rubbing, like he said. The rocks made a grating sound, piercing my ears. After more of this awful sound and no fire, I decided to keep walking. It was then that I heard a peculiar sound. I started walking, faster and faster. Then I took off running towards the sound. This could be it! One of the other boys could be making this sound. I came to a halt at the start of the sand. It wasn't just one boy, but here, on the beach, was almost every boy from the plane. I ran up and sat down next to a dark haired boy. They were all shouting and pointing. Then I noticed, there was a boy blowing a conch shell. The mysterious noise. He looked like he was devouring the conch. Next to him was a fat boy with a sickly pallor. People were calling him Piggy. I also heard people shouting,
"Ralph! Ralph!" This must have been the boy next to Piggy. Everyone stopped pointing and hushed their voices. A group of boys in decorous outfits followed a boy with dark hair. The dark haired boy seemed like the leader. He shouted at them and they all sat down. I saw Ralph looking very annoyed at piggy, he was telling him something that I couldn't hear exactly but sounded like a very strident tone.
The three boys in the front were talking about a vote. They were speculating about who should be our leader. Jack said vainly, "I say I'm captain! Who votes for me?". The rest of the boys dressed like him cheered but by the looks on their faces, it didn't seem as if voting for him was their choice.
"Who thinks I should be captain?" Ralph interposed. Jack was filled with indignation when the crowd rose to a clamor for Ralph.
Even though it was obvious that Ralph was the leader, I still thought Jack was a good guy. I gazed out at the lagoon wondering where we are and when were getting out of here.
